MeetPR Privacy Policy

Version 1.1 · Effective August 18, 2026 · 中文版

In one sentence: MeetPR is a powerlifting training app. We collect only what is needed to make training work — your sign-in details, the profile and training background you fill in, your training logs, the training videos you choose to upload, your chat with your coach, and anonymous usage data used to improve the product.

All data is stored in our own environment in the United States — DigitalOcean (servers and database, New York) and Cloudflare R2 (video and image storage). We use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, we do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking, and we never sell, rent, or trade it to anyone. You can delete your account in the app at any time, and its data is deleted with it.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy is published by Tianping Deng ("we", "us"), an individual developer. It applies to the international edition of the MeetPR iOS app and the MeetPR web app used by coaches for plan writing and student management. (The Chinese-mainland edition of MeetPR is a separate service covered by the Chinese policy.)

Please read this policy before using MeetPR. If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not create an account or use the product.

2. What we collect

We collect information only in the specific situations where it is needed. The full list, by situation:

SituationInformation
Sign-up and sign-in Your account role (coach / student), plus one of the following, depending on how you sign in: Sign in with Apple — the user identifier Apple issues for MeetPR and the email address you choose to share (including Apple's private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email"); Sign in with Google — your Google account's user identifier, email address, and the name on the account; Email and password — your email address and a password. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes (bcrypt); we cannot recover your original password. We never see or store your Apple ID or Google account password.
Profile Display name, gender, date of birth, height, body weight, preferred weight unit (kg / lb).
Training background questionnaire Training experience; squat style (high-bar / low-bar), deadlift style (conventional / sumo), bench grip width; your 1RM for squat, bench, and deadlift.
Training environment Which days of the week you can train, gym type (home / commercial / specialist), available equipment.
Recovery Daily physical demands, life stress, recovery speed, sleep duration (each a 1–5 self-rating, not a precise measurement).
Injuries and meet prep Injury sites, injury notes (free text), whether you are preparing for a meet, meet date, target weight class, a message to your coach (free text).
Training records Your training plan; the weight, reps, RPE, date, and notes for every set you log; readiness check-ins; post-session self-reviews.
Videos and images Training videos you record or pick from your photo library and upload (including the audio in the video); images you send in chat; training materials you upload while filling in the questionnaire.
Chat with your coach Text messages, images, read status, and timestamps between you and the coach you are linked to.
Usage data (analytics) An anonymous install identifier, session identifier, the names of in-app feature events you trigger and their enumerated parameters (e.g. "opened workout page", "saved plan"), app version and build number, platform, and event time. Event parameters contain only identifiers and fixed enumerated values — never free text.
Experience feedback If you choose to fill in a "what felt awkward" prompt, we receive the text you write (up to 500 characters). This is the only free text in our usage data.
Account identifier The unique identifier our system assigns to your account, used to associate your profile, training records, videos, and chat with the same account.
Server logs Routine access logs: request time, request identifier, source IP address, endpoint path, and status code. Used for troubleshooting and security auditing.

What we do not collect

3. Device permissions

Each permission is requested only when you first use the corresponding feature. If you decline, the rest of the app keeps working:

4. How we use your information

We do not use your information for advertising, sell profiles built from it, or make commercial automated decisions about you. Automated calculations that are part of training itself — estimating your e1RM, suggesting plan adjustments — are product features; their results are shown only to you and your coach and are never used for commercial judgements.

5. Who can see your data

The coach you are linked to

MeetPR is built around a coach working with their students, so your linked coach can see: your profile and training background questionnaire (including injury notes and your message to them), your training plan, every set you log and your self-reviews, the training videos you upload and attach to sets, your readiness check-ins, and your chat with them.

Your linked coach cannot see your email address or password.

Other students

Nothing. There is no way for students to view each other's data.

Ourselves

For troubleshooting, beta support, and data repair, our operators can access the database when necessary. We follow the principle of "look only when needed, look at the minimum amount", and we keep operation logs.

6. Service providers and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. To run the service we use the following infrastructure providers, who process data only on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes:

We use no third-party analytics, attribution, or advertising SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, or similar). Our analytics are self-built and the data goes directly into our own database.

7. Where your data is stored, and international transfers

8. Security

No system can guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9. Your rights, and how to use them

Depending on where you live, local law (such as the GDPR or UK GDPR) may give you additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

10. Children

MeetPR is intended for adults and youth athletes doing barbell training. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are under 18, use MeetPR with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian; if you are a guardian and believe we have collected a child's information without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy as the product changes. If an update materially changes what we collect, how we use it, or who processes it, we will notify you prominently in the app rather than only editing this page. The current version and effective date are always shown at the top.
